Last year in September, the 6th edition of the Annual Uganda Recovery Walk took place in Kampala, Uganda. 

The walk was 5 kilometres long and it aimed at “Joining Voices For Recovery; Rise Above Stigma”. 

In response to the request from the Ministry of Education to have interventions for the skyrocketing drug problem in Adjumani district, this year's edition of the walk has been taken to Adjumani district. Miira growing is on the increase in the area, hence abuse of Miira, alcohol and other drugs is on the increase, thus affecting the level of learning.

This year's theme is, "Join the Voices for Recovery: Together We are Stronger".
