Today was a very special day today, as we were part of the official launch of the "Strengthening Tobacco Taxation Policy and Structure in Uganda" Project at the Golf Course Hotel in Kampala.

It'll be implemented over the next 2 years by members of the Uganda Tobacco Taxation Coalition including Uganda National Health Consumers' Organisation (UNHCO), we, Uganda Cancer Society , Uganda Health Communications Alliance, Way Forward Youth Africa, Centre for Tobacco Control in Africa and United Nations Association of Uganda.

The Uganda Tobacco Taxation Coalition (UTTC) is a coalition of Civil Society Organizations with a common goal of fighting against the ever-increasing burden of Non-Communicable Diseases occasioned by Tobacco by advocating for tobacco taxation.
