We, the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organisation Uganda converged a multi-sectoral workshop today at the World Health Organisation Uganda offices in Kampala, on mainstreaming the National Alcohol Control Policy in sector plans. Two major objectives were spoken about in this workshop: - 1. Discuss alcohol control measures in all Government of Uganda departments. 2. Develop a framework for a multi-sectoral response to the prevention of alcohol harm in Uganda. Members in this workshop came in from the Office of the Prime Minister, Office of the President, Uganda Revenue Authority, Uganda National Bureau of Standards, the Uganda Police Force, Ministry of Gender Labour and Social Development, the Ministry of Education and Sports, Ministry of Health, World Health Uganda staff as well as our Secretariat team. We look forward to future engagements with you all.
