We congregated as UAPA Members today at Kolping Hotel in Kampala, for our 2026 Annual General Meeting. Amon the various items on board, we adopted and seconded the minutes from the 2025 AGM, voted in new leadership across numerous levels - beginning with the Board Chairperson all the way down to the Treasurer. We also received updates and current affairs from various offices at our Secretariat and beyond - the Financial reporting from the Auditors and our Finance office, the administrative office, representatives of the Board, communication from the Board Chairpersons (both incoming and outgoing) among others. New members also joined the UAPA family - from the areas and fields of treatment, prevention as well as academia and research. Our Current Board is currently made of Dr. Kikome Ruth as our New Board Chairperson, Mr. Baguma Tinkasimiire as our Vice-Board Chairperson, Mrs. Prudence Aturinde as our new Treasurer, Brother Simon Peter Wabwire as our new General Secretary not forgetting Ms. Nakiwala Joan and Peter Ekikina as our new Board Members.
