As we've always stated, our work requires a multi-sectoral approach to address alcohol-related arm. In that spirit, we recently started introducing ourselves to the newly-sworn in leaders of the Government of Uganda - beginning with those in the Ministry of Health. Inset, we were from our interaction with Dr. Ayume Charles (Minister of State for Health (Primary Health Care)) and we utilised this opportunity to make it known who we are, what works we are doing and our possible points of collaboration. That day, we moved hand-in-hand with our colleagues from the Mental Health Division at the Ministry of Health, led by Dr. Lukwata Hafisa, the Acting Commissioner of the same Division. Our team included our Vice-Board Chairperson Mr. Baguma Richard, our Former Board Chairperson Ms. Juliet Namukasa, our Secretariat represented by our Coordinator Ms. Margaret Nassanga and our Programs Officer Ms. Namwero Daphine plus our members Dr. Alfred Jatho from Uganda Cancer Institute and Mr. Kwizera Chris from Uganda Non-Communicable Diseases Alliance.
