We had our Annual General Meeting for the year 2025 today. The presence and insights of all our members (individuals and organisations) are vital to the growth and direction of our coalition. They made a deliberate effort to join in as we reviewed the minutes of our last Annual General Meeting (2024), welcomed new members into our community, had the various reports from the departments at the Secretariat shared with our members, received the report from our Board Chairperson Ms. Namukasa Juliet, got new leadership in place, networked amongst ourselves and dined together among others. At the end of it all, we received new leadership that is as follows: 1. Board Chairperson: Ms. Namukasa Juliet . 2. Board Vice-Chairperson: Mr. Baguma Richard. 3. Treasurer: Mr. Isabirye Jackson. 4. General Secretary: Mrs. Aturinde Prudence. 5. Individual members representative: Mr. Lubega Andrew. 6. Board Members: Simon Peter Wabwire and Mr. Daniel Ssebakijje. 7. National Coordinator: Ms. Nassanga Margaret. As a reminder, UAPA’s mission is to provide a platform for individuals and civil society organizations to influence alcohol policy and regulation, aimed at reducing alcohol-related harm in Uganda. Membership is open to all who share this mission, with the exception of individuals or organizations affiliated with, or receiving funding from, the alcohol industry. All members will be vetted to ensure alignment with our values and objectives. We look forward to working together, for a healthier Uganda for the next year.
